No Fluff Writing is a fun, easy, no-frills, low-cost approach to writing for the busy person. It’s where you get to write what you want , the way you want and how much you want.

Let’s cut to the chase - We are all busy and have limited time to write. But writing is an antidote that many of us could use.

Writing is my medicine and my muse. But I had a long sabbatical from writing ( 20 years!!). When I started again at 40, I went down many writing rabbit holes. So I decided to eliminate all the rules of writing that make no sense to me, or are tedious and unnecessary.

I enjoy writing because its fun, and its a place I get explore different sides of me. It also gives me clarity and helps me get unstuck in areas that I find difficult to navigate.

I’m Zena Zane.. I’m so excited that you’ve popped into the publication

Zena is my pseudonym, my nom de plume. I write with this name not to hide but because remaining anonymous gives me more freedom to express myself authentically.

I’m also an introvert and prefer to keep my personal life private. I am a Finance Professional in my day job, and I write in my spare time. I love writing about life lessons, personal development, self-improvement, and self-awareness.

I journal more than once a day. I used to write on my blog, some fancy publications, Quora, and Medium; now, you’ll only find me on Substack. I have streamlined my writing life to the bare minimum, making it lean and mean.
